Before you write — things that are normal
- Prices stand still between 3:15 and 3:35 pm
- That is the exchange's closing auction: F&O stocks stop trading at 3:15, and one auction print between 3:30 and 3:35 becomes the official close. Index rows are tagged "auction" while it lasts. On a special session (such as Muhurat) the auction, if there is one, follows that session's own hours — the header shows the day's times.
- On weekends and holidays the strip still shows numbers
- Those are the last session's closing values. Hover a value to see when it was last updated.
- I armed an end-of-day alert and nothing came at the close
- End-of-day alerts are checked after the evening data arrives — usually by 8 pm. Intraday alerts run every 30 seconds from 5 minutes after the open until the closing auction starts (9:20 to 3:15 on an ordinary day), plus one check at the close.
- Delivery % looks like yesterday's
- The exchange publishes delivery data in the evening. During the day the figure is the previous session's, labelled "as of" with its date; it refreshes after 7 pm.
- Just after 9:15 some cards say "updating…"
- Today's first bars are still arriving; live sector bars start a minute or two after the open.
- A card says "temporarily unavailable"
- Our data service is restarting or briefly down. The page checks again every minute — it comes back on its own.
- Cards went "updating…" for a minute after I refreshed many times
- Heavy data reads are limited per address to keep the site fast for everyone; the limit clears within a minute.
- I was signed out with "signed in on another device"
- One session at a time: logging in on a second device signs the first one out within 15 seconds.
